Dehradun, 23 Jul: On the directions and under the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state administration has accelerated the resolution of public grievances and delivery of welfare schemes through the ‘Jan-Jan ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan ke Dwar’ programme. Organised across all the development blocks of Dehradun district between 4 and 23 July, the initiative witnessed active participation of 44,735 people, with 560 applications submitted for certificates and other services. Through these camps, more than 14,500 beneficiaries received direct benefits of government schemes, while 848 complaints were registered, of which 568 were resolved on the spot and the remaining forwarded to departments for time-bound disposal.

District Magistrate Dr Ashish Chauhan reminded that the Chief Minister himself had attended two camps in Dehradun and heard the grievances and ensured immediate redressal of several cases. His direct dialogue with citizens reinforced confidence in the administration and strengthened trust in the grievance redressal mechanism. The DM asserted that the camps, held to mark five years of Dhami’s tenure, have also served as a platform to disseminate information about government schemes to farmers, women, youth and the general public, while extending benefits to eligible beneficiaries.

Chauhan asserted that ensuring good governance reaches every citizen is the highest priority of the district administration. He added that, if camps are cancelled in any area due to unavoidable circumstances, they will be rescheduled after the monsoon, particularly in the remote and difficult regions. He emphasised that the programme will continue in such areas to ensure no section of society is left out.

He claimed that the initiative has emerged as a reliable forum for the public, bridging the gap between government and citizens. It has not only provided a platform for grievance redressal but also ensured that welfare schemes reach the grassroots. By bringing governance to the doorstep, the programme has succeeded in winning the trust of rural communities and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to service, good governance and dedication, the DM observed.
