Dehradun, 27 Jul: U Turn Foundation, under its Green Impact Mission, today presented the Operation Rispana Citizen Dossier to the Mayor of Dehradun, Saurabh Thapliyal. The dossier, earlier submitted to the District Administration, is a citizen-led study highlighting the present condition of the Rispana River along with practical recommendations for its restoration.
Prepared through field research and citizen observations by the Green Impact interns, the dossier focuses on key concerns including sewage discharge, solid waste dumping, encroachment and degradation of the river ecosystem.
On behalf of the Green Impact Mission, Riza Khan, Khushbu Chauhan and Angad Chaudhary presented the dossier and explained its key findings before the Mayor. The U Turn Foundation Core Team was represented by Nukul Verma, Adv Sanjay Dimri and Atul Negi.
Hemant Nav Kumar, Founder-President, U Turn Foundation stated, “From the Clean Suswa River Drive to the Operation Rispana Citizen Dossier, our journey reflects a long-term commitment towards scientific research, citizen participation and collaborative river conservation.”

As the next step in this initiative, U Turn Foundation will organise the Operation Rispana Press Conference on 30 July at the Uttaranchal Press Club, Dehradun, where the Green Impact interns will present the Citizen Dossier before the media.
