Dehradun, 4 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt today paid tribute to former office bearer and spokesperson of BJP Uttarakhand, Virendra Singh Bisht, who passed away yesterday in Dehradun after prolonged illness.
The CM today visited Bisht’s residence at Mohabbewala and offered floral tributes before his portrait. He also met the bereaved family members to convey his condolences. He described Bisht’s demise as an irreparable loss to the party organisation and prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to endure the grief.
At the same time, Mahendra Bhatt, accompanied by BJP State General Secretary Kundan Parihar, also visited Bisht’s residence at Chandra Bani, where he offered flowers before the portrait and paid homage. He consoled Bisht’s mother and daughters, recalling his personality and organisational contribution, and assured that the party would always remember his work and remain committed to supporting the bereaved family in every possible way. Earlier in the day, Bhatt had also visited the residence of senior journalist Vimal Purwal at Mothroawala Road to offer condolences on the demise of his mother. On this occasion, State General Secretary Kundan Parihar, State Media In-charge Manveer Chauhan, Co-Media In-charge Rajendra Negi and Media Contact Coordinator Harish Chamoli were present.
