Dehradun, 4 Sep: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today launched a farmer-centric mobile application ‘Manorama Krishi Rakshak’ developed by the Manorama Dabral Jan Kalyan Samiti at the CM’s camp office. Describing the app as useful for farmers and self-help groups (SHGs), the CM extended his best wishes to the organisation for the initiative. He said that such efforts can prove beneficial in providing farmers with essential agricultural information and services in a convenient manner through effective use of modern technology.
Office bearers of the Manorama Dabral Jan Kalyan Samiti informed that the app aims to provide farmers with real-time weather updates and alerts, crop-specific agricultural advice, AI-based crop disease identification, agricultural and market-related information, as well as transport and logistics facilities on a single digital platform. They added that the app also includes features to connect self-help groups and rural enterprises with markets. The app has been designed keeping in mind the practical needs of farmers, with the objective of offering digital support from production to market through modern technology.
On this occasion, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi, Kamla Dabral, Rajesh Dabral, Anshul, Pranjal Naudiyal and Survir Singh Kathait from the Manorama Dabral Jan Kalyan Samiti were among those present.
