Dehradun, 8 Sep: Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) met Dr Swami Bhupendra Giri, Peethadhishwar of Bhagwan Giri Ashram Siddh Peeth, Rishikesh and Punjab, at the Lok Bhavan here on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Governor and Swami Bhupendra Giri discussed various spiritual, social and cultural issues, along with the role of the saintly tradition in society and initiatives undertaken for public welfare.
Dr Swami Bhupendra Giri briefed the Governor about the spiritual and social activities being carried out by Bhagwan Giri Ashram Siddh Peeth.
Sarpanch of Jalal Usman, Sardar Gurpreet Singh, was also present on the occasion.
