Mussoorie, 5 May: Activists associated with the Communist Party of India and the labour organisations gathered at Mazdoor Bhavan here, today, to pay tribute to Atul Kumar Anjan, National Secretary of the Communist Party of India, following his recent death.
Former Mussoorie Congress MLA Jot Singh Gunsola, former Municipal President Manmohan Singh Mall, CPI Secretary Devi Godiyal, Bhagwan Singh Chauhan, RP Badoni, Amit Gupta recalled that Atul Kumar Anjana was suffering from cancer for a long time. He was also a member of the Swaminathan Commission related to agriculture. He left no stone unturned in taking the farmers’ movement in the country to greater heights. In his demise, the country had lost a dynamic orator.
A resolution was taken to complete his incomplete works. It was recalled that Atul Anjan had a special attachment for Mussoorie and used to visit from time to time. It was stated that the entire left movement had been deeply shocked by the departure of Atul Anjan and he would always be remembered.
Sanjay Tamta, Aslam Khan, Jai Prakash Rana, Puran Singh, etc., were also present on this occasion.
