Haridwar, 30 May: Uttarakhand Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar said that both speaking the truth and hearing the truth are very difficult. He said that in today’s race, journalists have to face a lot of difficulties while working. Because the truth is very bitter. He said that journalism is a mission. It is the journalist who shows the mirror to the society. In such a situation, journalists need to work with a lot of coordination. Just as the work of the police is challenging, yet the police works with a lot of patience. In the same way, journalists should also exercise restraint. He said that journalists also have a decisive role in the development of the state. Police and journalists should contribute to solving many complexities by establishing coordination in the society. Kumar said that in this era of social media, journalists have a decisive role in maintaining the relevance of journalism.
DGP Abhinav Kumar was addressing the Hindi Journalism Day function organized at the Press Club as the Chief Guest. Senior journalist Shamsher Singh was also present as the keynote speaker at the function. Abhinav Kumar shared his experiences and narrated many memories related to his association with Haridwar and its people.
Earlier, the ceremony was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar, senior journalist Shamsher Singh, Press Club President Amit Sharma and General Secretary Pradeep Kumar Joshi, senior journalist and former President Adesh Tyagi, Sanjay Arya.
On Hindi Journalism Day, they also shared their experiences of Kumbh. Chief speaker senior journalist Shamsher Singh said that to promote Hindi, the journalist community will have to unite. Hindi plays a decisive role in the development, progress and nation building. He said that many types of changes are taking place in the field of journalism. Journalists have to maintain their hold in maintaining the strong base of Hindi journalism. Journalist community will have to play a decisive role in the promotion of Hindi. He said that the journalist community earns fame in its city, village and surrounding areas only through their writings.
Many families look at journalists with respect. Social media is rapidly affecting people. We should make Hindi a strong base. Chief Convenor Adesh Tyagi, Convenor Sanjay Arya expressed their gratitude to DGP Abhinav Kumar and senior journalist Shamsher Singh and spoke on the proud subject of journalism. He congratulated everyone on Hindi Journalism Day. President Amit Kumar Sharma, General Secretary Pradeep Kumar Joshi expressed gratitude to all the guests who came to the Press Club auditorium. He said that Hindi Journalism Day has been celebrated every year in the Press Club.
Sant Harishchandra Singh Bhati, Yogi Shobhanath and Baba Ramswaroop Smriti Gold Medals were awarded to journalism students.

Sunil Kumar, a Hindi Journalism student of Gurukul Kangri University, Kumari Rashmi of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Kumari Pragya Kushwaha of Dev Sanskriti University were felicitated by the guests.
