Dehradun, 25 Jun: BJP State Media In charge Manveer Singh Chauhan today alleged that Congress has nothing to do with investment or development in the state and opposing every positive development has become its habit.
Chauhan was commenting on the Congress opposing the investment proposal of Rs 500 crores in the Agriculture Sector in the state by the Adani Group.
He said that Congress believes in double standards on every issue in the country. When Adani Group proposes to invest in a BJP ruled state, the Congress opposes such proposals with all its might and tries to create a negative environment against the industrialists in the country. But when the same industrialists propose to invest funds in the state ruled by the Congress, then it welcomes them with open hands and makes no issue about the proposals. He said that Congress’s anti-investment and anti-development attitude is not in the interest of any state.
Chauhan said that the proposed investment by the Adani Group in Uttarakhand will definitely have a very positive impact on the economy and development of the state. The state has immense potential for agriculture and horticulture. If large-scale investment is made in the state, the people will directly benefit from it. Farmers are free to sell their produce wherever they like and their income will increase with investment, but Congress sees a conspiracy in investment itself, which reflects its anti-people mentality. Congress, which expresses concern about large-scale migration in the hills in the state, goes into opposition when something positive is proposed for the hills.
He claimed that when the potential in the agriculture sector increases, people will be encouraged towards it and the area under agriculture will increase, which will have better results. He said that the state government has implemented several schemes to promote horticulture and agriculture and people are also getting benefits from it.
