New Delhi, 25 Jun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi today during his visit to the national capital. During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed various issues related to the state with the Home Minister. The Chief Minister said that, as per the guidelines of recovery and reconstruction under the State Disaster Relief Fund, the state has to bear the required amount due to inadequate allocation of central funds. He added that due to limited resources of the state government, this results in unwanted delay in the reconstruction of the projects. He requested the Union Home Minister to increase the funds for reconstruction under the State Disaster Relief Fund. The CM also urged the Home Minister to provide central funds for the state for the reconstruction of HT Line of capacity more than 33 kV that had been damaged by natural disaster in the state.
The CM added that there is a problem of inadequate parking in view of the increase in devotees and tourists in Nainital. Dhami urged Shah to allot the entire land of the enemy property titled Metropole Hotel complex located in Nainital to the state government for construction of vehicle parking and road widening.
