Dehradun, 26 Jun: On the instructions of BJP state President Mahendra Bhatt, the OBC Morcha state executive member, Aditya Raj Saini, has been expelled from the primary membership of the party.

It may be recalled that Aditya Raj Saini and his servant have been booked by Haridwar Police for the gangrape and murder of a minor girl. Not only this, Saini has also been ousted by the government as member of the State OBC Commission. Orders in this regard have been issued by Brijesh Kumar Sant, Secretary, Social Welfare, today.

The decision of the BJP to expel Saini and the decision of the government to expel him as member of the State OBC Commission come after taking notice of the serious charges that have been levelled against him and two others.

It may be recalled that the body of a teenage girl was found on the side of the highway in Bahadarabad police station area two days ago. Once the body was identified and the family of the victim informed, the family had alleged gangrape and murder. After the registration of FIR and the investigation, Saini and his domestic servant, and Amit Saini (husband of a local village Pradhan) have been charged by the police with gangrape and murder.

Meanwhile, the Bhim Army and the Congress have accused the government of failing to maintain law and order and serious crimes like rapes and murders. Congress Spokesperson Garima Dausani today cited several recent crimes in the state and accused the government of failing to tackle these.
