Dehradun, 25 Jul: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for allocating more than Rs 5,000 crores in this year’s budget for various rail projects in Uttarakhand. The CM noted that the fund allocated to Uttarakhand will help in the development of additional rail facilities in the state.

The Chief Minister said that work is being done at a fast pace on the ambitious Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail project. There is a strong possibility of completion of this project by 2026. The Chief Minister said that the work of preparing DPR of Bageshwar-Tanakpur Bageshwar-Gairsain Rishikesh-Uttarkashi and Dehradun Saharanpur railway lines of state interest and 3 rail projects is also in progress.
The Chief Minister also expressed his gratitude to the Union Government for the plan to develop Dehradun, Haridwar, Harrawala, Kashipur, Kathgodam, Kichha, Kotdwar, Lalkuan, Ramnagar, Roorkee and Tanakpur railway stations as Amrit stations.
