Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi pays emotional tribute to Rifleman Amar Shaheed Manoj Rana

Dehradun, 27 July: Sainik Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi on Saturday paid emotional tribute to Rifleman Amar Shaheed Manoj Rana, resident of Rajpur, on his 11th death anniversary.

It is worth mentioning that martyr Manoj Rana was posted in the Indian Army’s unit 15 RR 2/4 Gorkha Rifles and on this day in 2013, he was martyred in a terrorist attack in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir.

Joshi said that martyrs have no caste or religion, it is the duty of every countryman to honor the martyrs and cherish their memories. He said that every fifth soldier deployed in the security of the country is from Uttarakhand. Whenever the country needs the heroes of Uttarakhand they have made the supreme sacrifice. He said that today under the able guidance of the Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi, the modernization of the army is also being given a new dimension and unprecedented work is being done to make the defence sector self-reliant.

The Minister further added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, many schemes have been run in the state for the honor of soldiers and their dependents. He said that a grand military dham is being constructed in Guniyal village of Dehradun in honor of the soldiers, which will be dedicated to the people of the state in the month of October. He said that when this military dham is ready, just like people come to visit the four dhams, in the same way they will come to see this military dham. Joshi said that the sacrifice of martyr Manoj Rana will always be remembered. He said that under the able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government is committed to the honor of the soldiers and the welfare of their dependents.

On this occasion, the martyr’s mother Usha Rana, sister Pinky Rana, Padam Thapa, Prabha Shah, Bhupendra Kathait and the people of the area were present.
