CM promises construction of Rest House for journalists in Gairsain

Gairsain, 22 Aug: A delegation of senior journalists from Chamoli district paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his official residence here today. The Chief Minister discussed various contemporary issues with the journalists. Dhami announced that a rest house for journalists would be constructed in Gairsain (Bhararisain). In this regard, the Chief Minister directed the Director General of Information to prepare an immediate action plan. The Chief Minister also asserted that Gairsain will be developed as a centre of yoga, meditation and spirituality. He said that the construction work of police housing in Bhararisain is in progress.

The Chief Minister also directed the Secretary, Culture and Religious Affairs, Hari Chandra Semwal to build a grand temple of Maa Bharari Devi in ​​Gairsain (Bhararisain) and stated that suggestions in this regard should be taken from the local public and stakeholder pilgrimage priests.

The Chief Minister added that the priority of the government is the all-round development of Gairsain, for which various training workshops and seminars will be organised throughout the year in the Bhararisain Bhawan. He said that this responsibility will be given to a secretary level officer. The Chief Minister said that various programmes running throughout the year will also strengthen the local economy.

On this occasion, Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari, Chamoli District Press Club President Devendra Rawat, senior journalist Kranti Bhatt, Rajpal Bisht, Dinesh Thapliyal, Jagdish Pokhriyal were among those present.
