Dehradun, 10 Oct: Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus of the Tata Group, had a profound connection with Uttarakhand.

According to former Chief Minister Dr Nishank, Tata frequently visited Uttarakhand for the launch and production of the Nano car. He had a dream of settling in Uttarakhand, but his passion for work prevented that dream from materialising.

On 9 November 2010, Ratan Tata attended a state foundation day event at the Chief Minister’s residence at Nishank’s invitation. Nishank notes that Tata had a deep interest in literature, art, music, yoga, and meditation. When asked how he found time for these pursuits, Tata replied that he spent his free time after work engaged in these activities.

Nishank stated that the country has lost a priceless gem, as Tata envisioned empowering every poor individual. He remained committed to making India strong and prosperous throughout his life. The nation will never forget his contributions.
