Dehradun, 30 Oct: Considering the importance of ropeway development in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi held a detailed discussion with the Public Works, Tourism, Drinking Water, Irrigation Departments and BRIDCUL at a meeting held at the Secretariat regarding determining the nodal agency of the state government for ropeway development. The Chief Secretary directed the officials to take immediate necessary action to declare BRIDCUL as an expert agency for the complete development, consultancy, technical and other related services of ropeway infrastructure in the state.
Further action will be taken by obtaining the consent of all the departments and stakeholders concerned.
The Chief Secretary said that BRIDCUL has expertise, experience and adequate human resources in ropeway and other construction works in the state, which should be taken advantage of. She said that this will ensure rapid progress in the ropeway development projects.
Secretary Sachin Kurve, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dhiraj Garbyal and other officials were present at the meeting.
