DM releases Rs 5.03 lakhs for installation of 22 CCTV cameras from Paltan Bazaar to Dhamawala

Dehradun, 30 Oct: District Magistrate Savin Bansal has issued a cheque of Rs 5.038 lakhs to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Dehradun for the installation of 22 high-tech CCTV cameras along with an IP Public Address system with 15 outdoor speakers and accompanying equipment at 15 main locations from Paltan Bazaar to Dhamawala in Dehradun.

It may be recalled that in view of the safety of traders and women in Paltan Bazaar, traders had been demanding the installation of CCTV cameras for a long time, for which the District Magistrate had previously released an amount of about Rs 12 lakhs. Today an additional amount of Rs 5.03 lakhs was also released by the DM in this regard.

The DM had asked the police department to submit a proposal in this regard. As soon as the proposal was submitted by the police department, the DM had earlier released an amount of Rs 12.05 lakhs to the Police Department of Dehradun.
