Dehradun, 7 Nov: On the occasion of their Founding Day, a delegation of the Bharat Scouts and Guides met with Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) at the Raj Bhavan, here, on Thursday. During the meeting, the delegation presented the Governor with a state scarf and flag sticker. The delegation also briefed the Governor about their future plans and initiatives.
The Governor emphasised the need for increased participation of children in the Scouts and Guides movement, stating that such involvement would help promote discipline and a sense of patriotism among the youth. He also commended the contribution of Scouts and Guides during disasters and other challenges, acknowledging their valuable service to society.
The delegation present at the meeting included Seema Jaunsari, Regional Chief Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Dehradun, Ravindra Mohan Kala, Regional Secretary, BS Rawat, Administrative Officer, Ajay Shekhar Bahuguna, District Secretary, Dehradun, Vimla Pant and Rahul Raturi.
