U’khand will soon implement strong Land Laws: CM

Chamoli, 13 Nov: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a meeting at the Bhararisain Assembly building regarding the implementation of a stringent land law in Uttarakhand. The meeting included discussions on the draft of the land law with the committee formed for the law, along with other former senior officials and intellectuals.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised that the state government is taking the land law issue very seriously. He said that the government is working towards framing a land law that aligns with the sentiments of the people of the state.

The Chief Minister further mentioned that several valuable suggestions were received during the discussions, and these will be incorporated into the land law. He stated that suggestions from the public will also be sought at the SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) and Tehsildar levels, and the good suggestions received will be included in the final draft of the law.

The Chief Minister assured that the draft of the strong land law is being prepared with a focus on the needs of the local people as well as developmental aspects of the state.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, former Chief Secretaries Indu Kumar Pandey and Subhash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, BP Pandey, former DGP Anil Raturi, Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, SN Pandey, and other senior officials.
