Dehradun, 13th November 2024: The fourth day of the Uttarakhand Rajya Yuva Mahotsav, organised by the Department of Youth Welfare & PRD, was a day of music, dance, and insightful discussions on sports science. Crowds gathered to enjoy a spirited performance by renowned folk singer Inder Arya, who captivated the audience with his popular tracks, including ‘Gulabi Sharara’, ‘Hey Madhu’, ‘Mero Lehenga’, and ‘Modern Kumaun’. The audience, including enthusiastic Doonites, danced along to the tunes of Arya, along with performances by noted singers Meena Rana and Harish Mehra. The day’s celebrations also featured a powerful group dance performance.
The day commenced with an expert session on sports science, organized by the Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD). The session focused on health, nutrition, and conditioning for athletes, aligning with preparations for the upcoming National Games, which Uttarakhand will host next year.
The day’s activities also included several competitions in Classical Singing, One-Act Play, Classical Dance, Classical Instrument Playing, and Photography. The Pro Panja League arm-wrestling competition was another crowd favourite, drawing enthusiastic participation and applause.
Also present on the occasion were Prashant Arya, Director of the Department of Youth Welfare & PRD, along with Additional Director RC Dimri, Joint Director Ajay Aggarwal, Deputy Directors Shakti Singh and SK Jairaj, Assistant Directors Neeraj Gupta and Deepti Joshi, and Rajesh Mamgain, Principal of Sports College.
Tomorrow on the final day of the Uttarakhand Rajya Yuva Mahotsav, popular Uttarakhandi singer Priyanka Meher will be giving a performance.
