Dehradun, 4 Dec: In light of the upcoming 38th National Games in the state, Sports Minister Rekha Arya has written to the Chief Secretary, suggesting that all future meetings of the ‘High Power Committee’ for the organisation of the National Games be held at the National Sports Secretariat, under the Chief Secretary’s chairmanship.
According to Sports Minister Rekha Arya, conducting meetings at the National Sports Secretariat will have a positive impact on the ongoing preparations and infrastructure work related to the event. Furthermore, it will allow all the officials involved in organising the games to benefit from the Chief Secretary’s expert administrative experience.
Minister Arya mentioned that, both, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and her have also been organising all meetings related to the National Games at the National Sports Secretariat. She emphasised that the entire team is working towards making this event successful and historic, and their collective efforts will undoubtedly play a key role in establishing Devbhoomi as ‘Khelbhoomi’.
It is worth noting that the 38th National Games are scheduled to be held from January 28, 2025, to February 14, 2025, and this will be the first time Uttarakhand is hosting the National Games.
