CM inaugurates & lays foundation stones for 24 projects worth Rs 172.65 crores in Pauri

Pauri, 19 Dec: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a function held in Satpuli, here, today. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various development projects worth approximately Rs 172.65 crores including the foundation stone laying of the multipurpose Satpuli lake, to be constructed in the Eastern Nayar river at a cost of Rs 56 crores.
During the event, the CM announced construction of new buildings in Government Inter College Bharoli Khal and Bironkhal under Development Block Bironkhal, construction of a motor bridge over the western Nayaar river between Nayaar Patisain and Aswalsyun, construction of a mini stadium in the headquarters of Development Block Ekeshwar, construction of a barrage 500 metres upstream from Pipaldonga bridge over the Ravansa river, and establishment of a police post at Tadkeshwar Mahadev.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dhami emphasised that these projects, including the multipurpose Satpuli lake, would significantly boost the regional economy and serve future generations. He also reminded the people of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of the third decade of the 21st century being the decade of Uttarakhand and also mentioned “rapid development” of infrastructure, including road and air connectivity, and tourism sector projects in the state.

The CM claimed that the government is working diligently to address migration issues, promote self-employment, and ensure youth participation in local industries. He praised the contributions of women, whose products are competing with major companies and are in demand internationally. He also mentioned efforts to preserve the state’s cultural values, noting that over 5000 acres of land have been cleared from encroachments. He reiterated that Uniform Civil Code (UCC) would be implemented in January 2025 and soon the government would also bring strict land laws in the state to reflect public sentiments.
During the event, Dhami also released the development booklet of the Chaubattakhal assembly constituency. Cabinet Minister and the local MLA, Satpal Maharaj, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for approving the development schemes, noting that these initiatives would accelerate the area’s development.
