Dehradun, 20 Dec: The inauguration of a new building at Pandit Sureshnand Joshi Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir Inter College, Selaqui, was carried out today. On this occasion, state Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Dhananjay of the RSS, and Uttaranchal University President Jitendra Joshi inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp before a portrait of Maa Saraswati. A rendition of Saraswati Vandana was presented by the girl students of the school.
School Principal Vinod Bhatt welcomed the guests. Chief Speaker Dhananjay explained in detail about Vidya Bharati and Shishu Mandir education based on the ancient Hindu system.
In his address, Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat praised the Saraswati Vidya Mandir schools and said that their students rank high in the merit list of the Uttarakhand Board. On this occasion, he distributed cheques of the Late Kamla Nehru Award to 11 students of the school. He presented mementos on behalf of the school.
Programme chairman and Chancellor of Uttaranchal University Jitendra Joshi assured that he would provide all possible help and support to the school. Joshi helps the school from time to time with financial and physical resources, such as building construction. He expressed his gratitude to the Education Minister, guests, and parents.
On this occasion, Mitta Singh, Neeraj Thakur, Jagdish Joshi, Ankita Joshi, Anuradha Joshi, Dr Dharma Buddhi and Principals of all the nearby schools, school staff, Sanjay Narayan, etc., were present. The programme was conducted by Kashish, a student of class 12 and Avni, a student of class 11. A large number of students, parents and dignitaries of the school were present on this occasion.
