Dehradun 10 Feb: A three-day training camp was inaugurated today at Law College Dehradun of Uttaranchal University to make students proficient in corporate law. Experts from the country’s renowned law firms were invited by the university to give hands-on training to the students in corporate law. As many as 300 students who want to make corporate practice their future participated in the training camp.
The programme was inaugurated by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Anuj Kaila, partner of renowned law firm Kochar & Company, Praful Goyal of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Law Firm, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Rajesh Bahuguna, Principal Prof Poonam Rawat, Advisor Saurabh Badoni and Director, CRC, Arun Gaudiyal.
In his presentation, Anuj Kaila limited his topic to the expectations of employers from new law graduates. He taught the students the tricks of pre-placement preparations. The topic of Praful Goyal’s presentation was based on internship. He prepared a roadmap for the five-year internship of the students and told which internships are mandatory for corporate practice. At the end of the programme, a question-answer session was held in which their queries were satisfied by the experts.
In his address, Prof Rajesh Bahuguna said that in this era of competition, where on the one hand there are immense possibilities for law graduates, there are also many challenges. He said that apart from their regular studies, it is also necessary for law students to do regular internship, court training and pre-placement training.
Director of Corporate Resource Centre Arun Godiyal proposed the vote of thanks while the programme was jointly conducted by Purnima Tyagi, Naina Bhatt and Pratiksha Rawat.
