Dehradun, 18 Feb: In compliance with the directions of District Magistrate Savin Bansal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Sadar, and In-charge of the Health Department, Harigiri, conducted a surprise inspection of Coronation District Hospital to assess the existing facilities and services.
During the inspection, the SDM visited various hospital departments, including the registration room, wards, medicine counter, Chandan Lab counter, and the Asha Ghar, to ensure smooth operations. While inspecting the medicine counters, the SDM instructed hospital authorities to display a complete list of available medicines and submit a detailed stock report of medicines that are available or those which are unavailable, currently.
The SDM also checked the staff presence in the registration room, confirming the number of personnel on duty. Security personnel on duty, both male and female, were directed to assist patients and visitors in forming orderly queues at the counters.
At the Chandan Lab counter, the SDM examined staff deployment and instructed the CMS to ensure an adequate number of personnel from the firm managing the lab. Additionally, the pathology staff was directed to maintain a shift-wise attendance register. The SDM also reviewed the status of patient testing and report generation and ordered lab staff to provide both digital and printed copies of test reports to patients to avoid inconvenience.
During this visit, the under-construction Blood Bank and Hilans Outlet on the hospital premises were also inspected. The SDM directed officials to expedite the construction work to ensure timely completion. Regarding hospital parking, officials from the Rural Engineering Services (RES) were instructed to initiate the necessary construction work.
Accompanying the SDM during the inspection were Chief Medical Officer Dr Manoj Sharma, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Yashpal Singh Chauhan, Dr Dinesh Chauhan, Chief Administrative Officer Raju Sabbarwal, and DPO DS Negi.
