Dehradun, 23 Feb: Gov Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) took a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam on Sunday on the occasion of Maha Kumbh 2025. He prayed to the revered rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati—for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.
The Governor said, “Today, at the divine and celestial Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, I bathed in the sacred confluence of faith, spirituality, and purity, receiving the blessings of Mother Ganga, Mother Yamuna, and Mother Saraswati. Taking a dip in this holy Sangam, amidst the unwavering devotion of millions of devotees, filled my heart with purity, peace, and spiritual energy.”
