BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt attends Civic Felicitation Ceremony in Mussoorie

Mussoorie, 23 Feb: A civic felicitation ceremony was organised by the Municipal Chairman and Councillors here, in which Bharatiya Janata Party State President and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt, and Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, participated as chief guests. On this occasion, a dozen people took membership of BJP along with the newly elected councillor of Mussoorie Municipality, Gauri Thapliyal.

Mussoorie Municipality President Meera Saklani welcomed the State President and Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi by presenting bouquets. She said that with the blessings of the people of Mussoorie, she has become the President of the Municipality and she will try her best to live up to their expectations.

She said that it will definitely take some time but people will see that the deteriorating condition of Mussoorie in the past has started improving. Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the people of Mussoorie have blessed him and made him MLA and minister three times. The people have made BJP’s Municipality President Meera Saklani win. For which he expressed his gratitude to the people of Mussoorie. He said that the state government is continuously working under various schemes for the development of the state. In view of the drinking water problem of Mussoorie, water has been brought under the Mussoorie Yamuna Pumping Drinking Water Scheme worth Rs 144 crore.

Mussoorie Mall Road has been beautified and continuous efforts are being made to create a vendor zone in the town. He said that in view of the parking problem in Mussoorie, small parking lots will be constructed so that the tourists coming do not face any problems. He also instructed the Municipal President to start preparations for the upcoming tourist season. Uttarakhand Bharatiya Janata Party state president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt said that the state government is continuously working under various schemes for the development of the state. He said that a strong land law has been brought by the government of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, which is a stronger law than Himachal Pradesh. He said that means of employment are to be provided along with industry in the state, due to which two districts of the state have been kept out of the land law. He said that the opposition no longer has any issue, in such a situation, by implementing the land law by the state government, the shops of many people have been closed, who used to get money for raising the issue. He said that now the opposition in the state is only in name.

On this occasion Rakesh Rawat, Mohan Petwal, Kushal Rana, Rajat Agarwal, Jagjit Kukreja, Narendra Melwan, Amit Bhatt, Shivani Bharti, Vishal Kharola, Geeta Kumai, Ranbir Kandhari, Babita Mall, Ruchita Gupta, Anita Saxena, Ravindra Rawat, Sumit Bhandari, Saurabh Khanna, Umed Kumai, Pawan Rajput, Ashutosh Joshi and many others were also present.
