Dehradun, 15 Apr: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi has directed officials of the Public Works Department (PWD) and Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) to ensure that the road widening work at Neembu Wala in Garhi Cantt begins only after the electricity lines are laid underground.
During a review meeting held on Wednesday at his official residence on New Cantt Road, here, Minister Joshi instructed the Superintending Engineer of UPCL to complete the undergrounding of power cables in Neembu Wala before commencing the road expansion. He emphasised that government projects should be executed in a well-planned and coordinated manner, and departmental staff must ensure timely implementation.
In addition, the Minister also reviewed the progress of other road-related projects including Anarwala-Malsi Road, Bilaspur-Kadli roads, and Kimadi main road.
The meeting was attended by PWD Executive Engineer Jitendra Tripathi, UPCL Executive Engineer SS Bisht, and other officials.
