Haridwar, 23 May: The Department of Civil Engineering at Quantum University has reached a significant academic milestone with the overwhelming response to its upcoming international conference, Smart Innovations in Engineering for Sustainable Development (SIESD-2025). A total of 175 research papers have been submitted by 235 authors, representing 53 academic institutions from across India and abroad.
The conference, which focuses on cutting-edge themes like Smart Materials, Green Technology, Resilient Design, and Hill Infrastructure Development, has attracted a rich mix of contributors—professors, researchers, postgraduate scholars, and industry professionals. The submissions highlight a strong interdisciplinary approach, spanning civil, mechanical, electrical, computer science, and environmental engineering, along with rapidly evolving domains like AI, IoT, and smart cities.
Noteworthy contributors include top-tier institutions such as Aligarh Muslim University, Delhi Technological University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Dr BR Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar, and IGDTUW Delhi, along with reputed private universities like Amity, Chandigarh, SRM, LPU, Parul, Shoolini, and Jaypee University of Information Technology.
Uttarakhand-based institutions including Uttaranchal University, DIT University, Shivalik College of Engineering, and Dev Bhoomi Institute of Technology have shown strong participation alongside Quantum University. Submissions have also poured in from across India—IET Lucknow, RTU Kota, MIET Meerut, SRMGPC Lucknow, JNTU Hyderabad, Annamacharya University, Karunya Institute of Technology, and RC Patel Institute of Technology, to name a few.
Significantly, SIESD-2025 has also garnered international attention with entries from researchers affiliated with Clemson University (USA) and Teesside University (India-based unit), reaffirming Quantum University’s growing global academic reach.
The conference is also set to feature distinguished speakers and subject matter experts from various sectors of academia and industry. Among the invited speakers are Dr SM Yusuf (AMU), Prof PK Sinha (DTU), Dr Poonam Sharma (IIT Roorkee), Dr NV Desai (BITS Pilani), and Dr Rohit Jindal (Larsen & Toubro), who will share insights on innovation, resilience, and sustainability in engineering design.
The organising committee credits this success to the university’s progressive academic ecosystem and leadership support. President Ajay Goyal, Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Vivek Kumar, Registrar Dr Amit Dixit, Director, QST, Dr Brij Mohan Singh, Director, QSB, Prof (Dr) Manish Srivastava, Dean, Academics, Dr Satendra Kumar, and Dean, Students Welfare, Dr Karan Babbar have been pivotal in shaping SIESD-2025 into a landmark event.
