TonsBridge School celebrates Investiture Ceremony

Dehradun, 23 May: The TonsBridge School celebrated its Investiture Ceremony for both the Senior and the Junior Schools, here, today. The day began with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Colonel Rahul Agarwal, Commandant, RIMC, Dehradun, along with his wife, Silvie Agarwal. Among those present were the Chairman of the school, Vijay Nagar, Director Shailendra Benjamin, MD Porus Nagar, Principal Bela Sehgal, Vice-Principal Ajay Aggarwal, other members of the Management, members of the faculty and the students.

The Investiture Ceremony to install the student Prefectorial Body for the year 2025-26 commenced with the Principal, Bela Sehgal, talking about the significance of the occasion and reminding the leaders-to-be about the need to be humble and the great responsibility bestowed upon them.

The audience was witness to the special launch of the school magazine, ‘Deepanjali’, named after the first lady of The TonsBridge School, Deepanjali Nagar, by the Chief Guest, the Chairman, the Director, the Principal and the Headmistress.

The announcement of the names for the various posts took place with the presentation of the badges by the Chairman, the Chief Guest, and the various dignitaries.

The Oath of Allegiance was administered by the Director for the Senior Prefectorial Body and by the Headmistress for the Junior Prefectorial body. Post this the Chairman and the Chief Guest presented the School Flag to the Head Girl and the Head Boy as well as the House Flags to the House Captains. The newly appointed student leaders then marched out in full ceremonial splendour.

This was followed by the Investiture Ceremony of Junior School.

Once the Vote of thanks was proposed by the Director, the prefectorial body joined the dignitaries and the management at high tea.

The whole event was anchored by Saadhana Kunjumpidukkal, Aamuktha and Anshi of Grade XA.
