Dehradun, 10 Jul: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today directed officials to expedite preparations for the forthcoming Rs 1 lakh crores grounding ceremony scheduled to be held in Rudrapur soon. Stressing the significance of the event, the CM asserted that the ceremony must be organised in a manner that is both grand and impactful, marking a pivotal moment in the state’s industrial trajectory.

Dhami also shared that Union Home and Co-operation Minister Amit Shah would grace the occasion as chief guest, highlighting the central government’s support for the state’s industrial advancement. Dhami also stressed that the grounding of this investment would not only redefine the contours of industrial growth in Uttarakhand but also generate extensive employment opportunities for the youth across the region.

On this occasion, the CM also recalled that investment proposals amounting to Rs 3.5 lakh crore had been received during the Global Investors Summit held in 2023, of which proposals worth Rs 1 lakh crore have already been grounded. This, he noted, reflected the growing confidence of investors in Uttarakhand’s development vision and its conducive industrial ecosystem.

Dhami also observed that the event would act as a catalyst for promoting entrepreneurship among local stakeholders, while simultaneously opening new channels for the state’s economic prosperity. He urged the officials to coordinate vigilantly and ensure meticulous execution of all preparations, stating that the ceremony would prominently showcase Uttarakhand’s progressive outlook and investor-friendly ethos to the country and the world.

This high-level review meeting was attended amongst others by Principal Secretaries RK Sudhanshu and R Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretaries Shailesh Bagoli and Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Director General of Police (ADG) AP Anshuman, Special Secretary Parag Madhukar Dhakate, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari and Managing Director Industries Saurabh Gaharwar.
