Gov extends best wishes for Sanskrit Village Programme

DEHRADUN, 4 Aug: Secretary of Programme Implementation, Sanskrit Education and Census, Deepak Kumar paid a courtesy call on the Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd).
During the meeting, the Secretary briefed the Governor about his recent visit to Mattur village in Shivamogga district of Karnataka, the Sringeri campus of the Central Sanskrit University, the Gurukulam School in Bengaluru, and the Aksharam Centre of Sanskrit Bharati.
Lt Gen Singh appreciated the details shared and commended the innovative initiatives being undertaken by the Sanskrit Education Department. He also directed the department to work with greater speed towards the promotion and advancement of Sanskrit education and the language.
The Governor extended his best wishes for the upcoming Sanskrit Village Programme scheduled to be held next week.
While reiterating his appreciation for the publication “Meri Yojana – Kendriya Sarkar” by the Programme Implementation Department, the Governor also instructed that work begin on its second edition. He further directed that the Central Government schemes being implemented in the state be linked with the Prime Minister’s “Mann Ki Baat” programme for analysis and research.
