Uttarkashi, 8 Aug: Graphic Era today sent its second consignment of food supplies to help the disaster-affected people of Dharali and Harshil. The team of doctors from Graphic Era Hospital also set up medical camps today at Matli airstrip and Chinyalisour to provide healthcare services to the victims. Earlier, yesterday, the District Administration had delivered Graphic Era’s ration packets to the affected families with the help of helicopters.
Chairman of Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr Kamal Ghanshala, flagged off the trucks loaded with food supplies to Uttarkashi this afternoon. Dr Ghanshala said that the sensitivity and promptness shown by the State Government and Uttarkashi District Administration have made the relief and rescue operations a model for others. The food supplies provided by Graphic Era’s disaster relief team were sent to the affected people by the administration within a short time using helicopters. He added that Graphic Era will do everything possible to help the disaster-affected families.

A team of doctors from Graphic Era Hospital treated several people brought by helicopters from disaster-hit Dharali and Harshil to the ITBP ground in Matli. These patients included those suffering from injuries, pain, and allergies. The team, led by Dr Ankita Tomar, included Abhishek Yadav, Nirmala Shahi, Angrez Singh, Pawan, and others. Another team of doctors from Graphic Era Hospital was requested by the District Administration to assist disaster victims arriving at Chinyalisour airstrip. Led by Dr Ashok, this team examined several affected people and provided them with medicines. This team included Vinita Yadav, Lavish, and Shiv Kumar. Sandeep Vashishtha is coordinating the medical teams.
From Dehradun, today, Graphic Era sent over 4,550 kilograms of ration packets containing wheat flour, rice, pulses, sugar, spices, tea leaves, oil, and other essentials in four vehicles to Uttarkashi. The Graphic Era relief mission team has set up base in Uttarkashi to carry out relief work. This team, led by Team Leader Dr Amar Dabral and Team Coordinator Dr Anuj Thapliyal, includes Dr Ravish Kukreti, Kartikeya Raina, Anoop Bahuguna, Rahul Vaishnav, and Janmejay Shah. The team will deliver the ration packets to the affected families with the help of the administration.
