Soccer Tournament continues apace

Mussoorie, 8 Aug: St George’s College is holding the 52nd edition of the St George’s College Heritage Cup (aka Jackie) Invitational Soccer Tournament from 1 to 14 August. A total of 26 teams, comprising 15 clubs and 11 school teams, are participating in the tournament.

Three matches were played today.

In the first match played today, Wynberg Allen School (A) defeated St George’s College (A) by 4-1.

For Wynberg Allen School (A), the goals were scored by Passang in the 7^th minute, Dorjee in the 35^th minute, Norjongdi in the 47^th minute and Desai in the 68^th minute.  For St George’s College (A), the only goal was scored by Nathaneil in the 61^st minute.

The second match between Kyarkulli Sports Club and Mussoorie Boys Club ended in a draw, 2-2.

For Kyarkulli Sports Club, the goals were scored by Vikash in the 7^th minute and Deepak in the 38^th minute. For Mussoorie Boys Club, the goals were scored by Suraj in the 28^th minute and Javed in the 39^th minute.

In the third match, Manorite defeated Shiva Sports Club, 4-0. For Manorite, the goals were scored by Sheru in the 45^th minute, Jyotish in the 50^th minute and Kamal in the 61^st and 62^nd minutes.

The referees for today’s matches were Abhi Ruchi Gurung, Pushkar Singh Gusain, Deepak Rawat, Prashant Bisht and Milan Chhetri.
