Dehradun, 29 Aug: The core committee of Doon Udyog Vyapar Mandal convened an important meeting today to assess the district working committee’s previous programme and to deliberate on the resolutions passed therein. Discussions centred around the progress achieved on various issues concerning traders as well as the immediate steps required to carry these resolutions forward. President Vipin Nagalia affirmed that the organisation has always prioritised the welfare of traders and consistently led advocacy efforts on their behalf. He further remarked that solutions to concerns and proposals raised during the last district working committee meeting are being sought through ongoing dialogue with the administration and the government.

The core committee also reaffirmed the Mandal’s longstanding commitment, noting that the body has represented traders’ interests in Dehradun for fifty-three years since its establishment in 1972, with all of the 209 affiliated trading units unwaveringly supporting the organisation’s endeavours. Vipin Nagalia emphasised that Doon Udyog Vyapar Mandal remains the sole traders’ organisation in Dehradun that firmly presents demands and issues before the police, administration, and government strictly for traders’ benefit and not for personal gains.

Patron Anil Goyal, who has been associated with the organisation for nearly forty years, reiterated his enduring loyalty to the Mandal. He clarified his exclusive association, stating he is not connected with any other traders’ organisation in the city. He expressed concern that certain individuals have been using his name and photograph without his permission on their banners or invitations, deeming such actions inappropriate and warning that no other traders’ group in Dehradun should employ his name or likeness. Anil Goyal asserted that Doon Udyog Vyapar Mandal is the only organisation steadfastly dedicated to safeguarding and promoting traders’ interests in Dehradun since its inception. He reiterated his lifelong commitment to the Mandal, declaring his status as a devoted soldier of the organisation in both past and present, and asserted that he would continue to be associated with the association in the same manner.
