Almora, 7 Sep: Preparation for the army recruitment rally for the youth of four districts has begun in full swing. The recruitment rally, starting from 11 September 2025 will begin admitting candidates into the military premises from 2:30 a.m. Entry will only be available until 6 a.m.
The rally will commence with the race of youth from Bageshwar district on the first day.
The Army Recruitment Office, Almora is organising the recruitment rally for the youth of four districts (Bageshwar, Nainital, Udham Singh Nagar, and Almora). The army has expedited preparations at the Somnath ground, Kumaon Regiment Centre.
The District Magistrate has directed all officials of the civil administration to provide assistance to Army Recruiting Office, Almora, at Somnath Ground, Ranikhet, for smooth conduct of the Recruitment Rally.
The District Magistrate has also requested local women’s groups to provide meals to the candidates at discounted rates near Somnath Ground. Night shelters in the city (National Inter College, Ranikhet Mission Inter College, Cantt Inter College, Rangoli Baratghar & Shiv Mandir Auditorium) will be available for the candidates. The District Magistrate has also assured Director, Recruiting, Almora, that all necessary assistance will be provided.
