Tula’s Institute organises CARE-A-THON for Health, Environment, and Social Awareness

Dehradun, 11 Sep: Tula’s Institute organised CARE-A-THON — Campus Action for Reusable Essentials (CARE) — to promote awareness about health, environment, and social responsibility. The event saw active participation from students, faculty, and community members.
Professor (Dr) Anita Rawat, the first woman Director of the Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC), attended the event as the Chief Guest. The panellists included Anju Bist, Managing Director of Saukhyam Reusable Sanitary Pads; Praveen Bist, CIO of Amrita Hospitals; Maitreyi Sharma, CEO of i-Resonate Technologies Pvt Ltd.; and Mohit Nagpal, Assistant Director, Runway Incubator (iTBI-DST), UPES.
The leadership team of Tula’s Institute, including Professor (Dr) Shailendra Kumar Tiwari (Director), Professor (Dr) Nishant Kumar Saxena (Additional Director), Dr Vijay Kumar Upadhyay (Registrar), Dr Sunil Semwal (Dean, R&D), and Dr Tripuresh Joshi (Coordinator, R&D), along with faculty and students, were also present.
As part of the initiative, Tula’s Institute, in collaboration with Saukhyam and Amrita University, hosted a Tech and Social Innovation Challenge. Thirty-one teams registered, and 11 were shortlisted for the second round. Institutions like UPES, ITM, DIT, UIT, ICFAI, Dev Bhoomi, and Tula’s Institute participated in the challenge.
The CARE-A-THON also included activities such as a fitness walk/run, awareness sessions, and interactive campaigns to highlight physical health, environmental care, and social well-being.
The event was coordinated by Dr Sugam Gupta, Deepika Rawat, Swati Joshi, and Saurabh Singh.
