Dehradun, 17 Sep: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, more than 5,000 students of Graphic Era registered for blood donation on the e-Raktkosh portal.
On the occasion, Higher Education and Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat said that, by donating blood today, thousands of youth of Uttarakhand prayed for the long life of the Prime Minister.
In the blood donation camp organised at Graphic Era Deemed University, students and teachers donated 226 units of blood. On this occasion, Dr Rawat said that the dedication and enthusiasm with which students came forward to donate blood proves that Graphic Era is not only a centre of education but also a strong centre of human values. He also announced that one thousand units of blood would be made available to Graphic Era Hospital.
Chairman, Graphic Era Group of Institutions, Dr Kamal Ghanshala said that Graphic Era not only prepares professionals but also nurtures them into good human beings. The spirit of understanding and sharing the pain of others is what makes the students of Graphic Era stand apart.
Students from various courses including BTech, BBA, BCA, and Biotechnology actively participated in the blood donation camp. From morning till late evening, the students and teachers of Graphic Era donated 226 units of blood. During this event, more than 5,000 students from Graphic Era Deemed University and Graphic Era Hill University registered for blood donation on the e-Raktkosh portal.
The camp was also attended by Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era University, Dr Narpinder Singh, Joint Director, Higher Education Department, Anand Singh Uniyal, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Graphic Era University, Dr Santosh S Sarraf, Registrar Dr Naresh Kumar Sharma, and Dr AS Shukla. On this occasion, Dr MP Singh along with other faculty members and students also donated blood.
