Dehradun, 27 Nov: Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi today participated as the Chief Guest at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons, and Directors of the Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd, Chandroti. The event was held at Green View Garden, Sinola, Dehradun.
During the ceremony, in the presence of Minister Ganesh Joshi, the newly elected office-bearers took their oaths, pledging to fulfill their responsibilities with honesty, transparency and dedication.
Congratulating the newly formed team, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi said that cooperative societies are among the most effective institutions for economic empowerment in rural and semi-urban areas. He stated that the State Government is consistently working to strengthen cooperative societies so that farmers, women, youth and local entrepreneurs can access new opportunities.
He added that cooperative societies succeed only when elected representatives work with sensitivity, transparency and a spirit of service. Expressing confidence, he said that the newly elected office-bearers will work with the intention of ensuring that benefits reach the last person in society.
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi also encouraged the society to play an active role in agriculture-based activities, self-employment, group-based production, strengthening marketing channels, and creating local employment opportunities.
On this occasion, Chairperson Kishan Singh Pundeer, Vice-Chairperson Jeet Singh, Shyam Singh Pundeer, Pankaj Saini, Yogesh Kumari, Kiran, Anurag, Laxman Singh Rawat, Sandhya Thapa, Renu Sharma, Sunil Kshetri, Harinder Rawat, Maya Rana along with many others were also present.
