“307 farmers from U’Khand have benefited from Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Scheme”

New Delhi, 19 Dec: The Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Ramnath Thakur, on Friday replied in the Rajya Sabha to an unstarred question raised by Mahendra Bhatt, Member of Parliament, regarding farmers benefited under the agriculture infrastructure fund scheme.
Thakur informed RS that the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) scheme is available to all farmers and also a range of entities such as Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), marketing/multipurpose cooperative societies, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs), Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), agri-entrepreneurs, start-ups, and Central/State agencies.
The minister added that since the inception of the Scheme in July 2020 and up to 25.11.2025, the AIF Scheme has been availed by 67,007 individual farmers including 307 from Uttarakhand. Beside, overall 1,39,837 cases have been sanctioned, including 680 in Uttarakhand. The entities like FPOs, PACs etc have many member farmers, exact number of which are not maintained centrally.
