Dehradun, 8 Jan: Day two of the FICCI FLO Convention 2026 commenced with the Inaugural Session. On this occasion, a video message sent by the Governor’s spouse and First Lady of Uttarakhand was screened, in which she highly appreciated the efforts of FICCI FLO in the fields of women empowerment, leadership development, and sustainable growth, and extended her best wishes for the success of the convention.
During the inaugural session, Chief Guest Geeta Dhami, in her inspirational address, stated that when women move forward with determination, self-confidence, and consistent effort, they can empower not only themselves but society as a whole. She encouraged women of Uttarakhand to illuminate their identity across the country and work with this inspiration.
Subsequently, in the session titled “From Resolution to Achievement”, Neha Joshi shared her experiences and emphasised that with a clear vision, perseverance, and confidence, women can achieve remarkable success in any field.
Under Technical Session–4 (Climate Change), a workshop, titled “Sustainability Made Practical: From Everyday Choices to Climate-Friendly Business”, was conducted by the School of Policy & Governance, Bengaluru, highlighting how small decisions in daily life and sustainable practices in business can contribute to building a climate-friendly future.
In Technical Session 5 (Financial Literacy), WOMENEYSTA, Gurugram, conducted a session on “Step to Healthy Finances”, sensitising women on practical aspects of financial planning, savings, investment, and economic self-reliance.
On this occasion, Punit Mittal, Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Party, highlighted the importance of financial management and effective business administration, stating that sound financial understanding is the key to the success of any enterprise.
During the programme, State Mahila Morcha President Ruchi Bhatt motivated women to continuously move forward, take up leadership roles, and become self-reliant. Labour Department’s Geeta Rawat also interacted with women participants and shared her views on the role of women and their rights in the labour sector.
Thereafter, Technical Session 6 (Panel Discussion), titled “Women in Business: Embedding Sustainability at the Core”. featured Shreelata Krishnan, Bangalore, along with other experts, who emphasised the need to adopt sustainability as a core element of business practices.
During the convention, Lubna shared her experiences associated with FICCI and stated that FICCI FLO provided her with confidence and direction to move ahead, inspiring women to remain committed to continuous progress.
The success of the convention was strongly supported by the FICCI FLO Executive Members and Convention Team. Special appreciation was extended for the active participation and efficient organisational efforts of Komal Batra, Neha Sharma (National Governing Body Member), Tripti Bahl, Meenakshi Soti, Smriti Batta, and Harpreet Kaur.
In the concluding session, a special discussion on “Sustainability in Women-Led Businesses at its Core” was held, in which Dr Surekha Dangwal presented insightful views on the role of sustainability in women-led development. Special guests Shyam Agrawal and Kailash Pant also shared their perspectives, emphasising the integration of environmental and social responsibility in women entrepreneurship.
The final session was coordinated by Rupa Soni, who conducted the proceedings efficiently. The session was attended by Neetika Sharma, PK Joshi (Uttarakhand Pollution Control Board), Amrit, and several other distinguished guests and participants. All speakers unanimously expressed that placing sustainability at the core of women-led businesses can bring positive change for both society and the environment.
The programme concluded with the Valedictory Session and Disbursement, during which certificates were distributed to participants and the overall achievements of the convention were highlighted.
