Dehradun, 21 Jan: Following a significant increase in the honorarium of Agricultural Assistants deployed in the Nyaya Panchayats of the state, a delegation of office bearers of Agricultural Assistants today paid a courtesy visit on State Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi at his official residence, here, today.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed gratitude by felicitating the Agriculture Minister with flower garlands and bouquets.
It is worth noting that, following the directions of Agriculture Minister Ganesh Joshi, the honorarium of Agricultural Assistants has been increased from Rs 8,300 to Rs 12,391. On this occasion, Ganesh Joshi congratulated all the Agricultural Assistants and extended his best wishes, stating that they had been demanding an increase in their honorarium for a long time.
He further said that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government is working with complete sensitivity towards employees’ welfare. He added that UPNL employees have also been granted the benefit of equal pay for equal work. The Agriculture Minister expressed confidence that the increase in honorarium would provide financial support to Agricultural Assistants and enable them to serve farmers with greater enthusiasm and dedication.
During the meeting, the delegation also submitted a memorandum regarding the provision of casual leave for Agricultural Assistants. Assuring a positive response, the Agriculture Minister stated that necessary action would be taken at the earliest.
Those present on the occasion included State President Kushla Semwal, State Vice President Dinesh Prasad Ukhiyal, State Secretary Manoj Bhatt, Treasurer Baliram Bhatt, District President Subhash Tomar, Mangla Uniyal, Khajan Singh, Dinesh Payal, Girish Thapliyal, Prakash Rana, and Shyam Singh Chauhan, among others.
