House of Himalayas sales figures cross Rs 3.7 crore

Dehradun, 2 Feb: ‘House of Himalayas’, the brand of pure Uttarakhandi products prepared by the hard work of women of the mountains, has succeeded in achieving sales of more than three and a half crore rupees within two years of its launch. Soon, House of Himalayas products will also be available for sale abroad.
Under the Rural Development Department, House of Himalayas is a common brand for products made by women self-help groups, farmers, farmer producer organisations and rural entrepreneurs of Uttarakhand. It was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Global Investors Summit held in Dehradun in December 2023. After the inauguration by the Prime Minister, the demand for House of Himalayas products has suddenly increased. In the last two years, the total sales figure has crossed Rs 3.7 crore. Now, House of Himalayas brand products are available offline as well as on e-commerce sites Jio Mart, Amazon, Blinkit, Big Basket and the brand’s own website https://houseofhimalayas.com/.
Currently, a total of 50 products have been included in this brand. This includes millet biscuits, Rajma from Munsiyari, Chakrata and Harsil, Chaulai, Toor Dal, traditional red rice of the mountains, Jhangora, Gahat, Black Bhatt, tea, oil, personal care and handicraft products. The quality of its products is being checked at three levels. The government is emphasising the purchase of House of Himalayas products during local fairs and festivals. Additionally, a strategy has been prepared to increase sales through government programmes and offices. Special gift packs were provided by House of Himalayas for festivals like Diwali, which were highly appreciated.
A total of 22 trademarks have been registered in House of Himalayas so far. More than 3,300 rural women of the state are directly associated with this product series. Meanwhile, more than 28,000 women have received indirect benefits through an extensive procurement network. These products are available for sale through 26 outlets in major cities. This includes an exclusive brand outlet at Jolly Grant Airport. Along with this, premium carts of House of Himalayas have also been established in prestigious hotel chains and travel centres. Also, 10 floor standing units have been deployed on the Char Dham route. The company is trying to enter into agreements with Reliance Freshpik, Flipkart and Zepto. Efforts are being made for partnerships with Amazon Global and Walmart to make House of Himalayas products available in the foreign market.
“Guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Local to Global’ vision, the objective of House of Himalayas is to establish authentic Himalayan products in national and international premium markets by strengthening the quality and packaging of products. This has strengthened the economy of the farmers and women self-help groups of the state,” stated CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
