Dehradun, 13 Jan: Satpal Maharaj, Uttarakhand Minister for Irrigation, Tourism, Religious Affairs, Public Works, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Watershed, and Culture, has informed Uttar Pradesh Water Resources Minister Satyendra Dev Singh that sufficient quantities of clean and pure water are being released from the Tehri Reservoir for the Prayagraj Kumbh Snan.
Maharaj assured Satyendra Dev Singh during a conversation that the required water supply for the Prayagraj Kumbh is being ensured from the Tehri Reservoir. He mentioned that the current water level of the Tehri Reservoir is approximately 809 metres. After raising the water level from 828 to 830 metres, an increase of 83 million cubic metres of water has been achieved.
Maharaj further stated that, following the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a consistent supply of 150 Cusecs of clean and pure water is being ensured from the Tehri Reservoir for the Prayagraj Kumbh Snan.
