Dehradun, 11 Sep: In a significant move to benefit approximately 23,000 UPNL employees posted in various departments, an agreement was signed today between Punjab National Bank (PNB) and the Uttarakhand Ex-Servicemen Welfare Corporation Limited (UPNL). This agreement ensures that, in the event of an accident leading to the death of a UPNL employee, their dependants will receive Rs 50 lakh as financial assistance.

The signing ceremony took place at the camp office of the Minister for Ex-Servicemen’s Welfare, Ganesh Joshi, here, today. During the event, Minister Joshi addressed the ex-servicemen and emphasised that under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government is committed to the welfare of soldiers, ex-servicemen, and their dependants through various schemes. This step reflects the government’s commitment to their well-being.
