Dehradun, 21 Jul: Sainik School Ghorakhal hosted Air Marshal Sunil Kashinath Vidhate of the Indian Air Force, and Bhagyashree Vidhate, today.
The Air Marshal was warmly welcomed by the Principal, officers, faculty members and cadets with a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the school’s NCC contingent. The Air Marshal commended the band team for their excellent performance and presented them with gifts as a gesture of encouragement.
The Principal briefed the Air Marshal about the school’s legacy, achievements and its role in nation-building.
In his address to the cadets, the Air Marshal shared valuable insights from his illustrious career in the Indian Air Force. The Air Marshal guided the cadets on leadership, character-building and the importance of perseverance. He motivated the young cadets to stay committed to their goals, uphold the highest values of discipline, integrity and patriotism, and to prepare themselves for a life of service to the nation.
He also appreciated the infrastructure and training facilities at the school and commended the efforts of the faculty in shaping future defence leaders.
The visit concluded with a token of gratitude presented to the Chief Guest, Air Marshal Sunil Kashinath Vidhate by the School Principal, Group Captain VS Dangwal, on behalf of the school community. It was formally reciprocated with the presentation of gifts to the cadets by the Chief Guest.
