DEHRADUN, 24 Dec: ‘Anand Hi Anand’ written, designed and narrated by Sohaila Kapur, under the biographical series ‘Lives Lived’, has been a super success. Sohaila Kapur, who is the niece of the legendary brothers, Chetan, Dev and Vijay Anand, narrated the story of their relationship, peppered with anecdotes from the family, in an audio-visual format. The narration in English brought back moments from the golden age of Bollywood.
Sohaila Kapur, actress, journalist, television personality, theatre director, and playwright, along with Anuradha Dar, Director of Three Arts Club, one of India’s oldest theatre groups (founded, 1943), have collaborated in theatrical activities for the past three years. They have performed plays, dramatised readings, walking art presentations (where the script is abandoned), staged documentaries, held workshops etc. Their creativity has always drawn a good audience. In fact, non-theatre goers have also started attending their productions.
The performance at Yellow Marigold Experience Studio, sat enthralled. It was a full house. The audience stayed back later to ask questions of the narrator who is the niece of Dev, Chetan and Vijay Anand and the younger sister of film director Shekhar Kapur.
