Dehradun, 23 Dec: Uttaranchal Medical College of Ayurveda and Research, Premnagar, embarked on a new journey with its first induction programme, ‘Vedarambh’, which commenced today at the Swami Vivekanand Auditorium. The programme marked the beginning of a new chapter for 100 BAMS students who started their academic journey at UMCAR.
The programme commenced with a traditional Deep Prajwalan and Dhanvantari Vandana. After that, a felicitation ceremony was held to honour the distinguished guests and dignitaries.
Chief Guest Prof Arun Kumar Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, Uttarakhand Ayurved University, motivated the students to embark on their academic journey with dedication. Guest of Honour Dr Sanjeev Kumar Pandey, Deputy Registrar, UAU, was also present.
Others present included President of Uttaranchal University Jitender Joshi, Vice President Ankita Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof Dharam Buddhi, and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Rajesh Bahuguna. Jitendra Joshi shared his insights on Ayurveda and delivered a motivational speech to students.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr Amit Bhatt, Director, UMCAR, who warmly welcomed the guests, students and all faculty members. The programme was anchored by Dr Satwinder Kaur and Dr Bushra Aziz, who ensured the smooth flow of events.
A dance performance by Dr Harshita Joshi and vocal performance by Dr Deepak Prasad Raturi added a touch of elegance to the event.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Ravi Joshi, Principal, UMCAR.
All Faculty members of UMCAR participated in the programme, including Dr Vibhooti Chandrakar, Dr Rajeev Kumar, Dr Vidyarani Joshi, Dr Savita Pawar, Dr Nandini, Dr Shivangi, Dr Sonali Purohit, Dr Amir Khan, Dr Richa Bhatt, Dr Rupali Purohit, Dr Mudit, Chandramohan, Madhav, etc.
