Haridwar, 16 Jul: As part of the ‘Join Indian Army Caravan Talkies Campaign’, outreach activities were successfully conducted on two subsequent days, 15 and 16 July at Om Ayurvedic College, Gnorwala; Shri Swami Bhumanand College of Nursing, Alipur; Chinmaya Advance Research Education (CARE) College, Bahadrabad; COER University, Roorkee – Haridwar Road, Vardhmanpuram, and Patanjali University, Haridwar.
Students from various streams and faculty participated enthusiastically, engaging deeply with the Army’s motivational sessions. Representatives showcased career paths including Agniveer, technical trades including Soldier Nursing Assistant in Army Medical Corps and Remount Veterinary Corps and officer-level entries through interactive audio-visual displays and personal interactions. Informative brochures with QR codes and handouts were distributed to facilitate the registration process.
Participants were strongly cautioned against touts and fake agents, with Army officials reiterating that recruitment into the Indian Armed forces is transparent, fair, and entirely free of cost.
Lively quizzes, doubt clearing sessions, and awareness games added vibrancy to the event, with senior faculty accolading the effort of Indian Armed forces to raise the awareness across the youth in various streams makes the campaign a success. Despite the restrictions on movement due to Kanwar Yatra, the outreach witnessed good response from students across various streams. The campaign witnessed active participation by faculty as well utilising their role as guides and mentors for students who could not attend the campaign due to exams and other reasons.
