Haridwar, 6 Nov: On the occasion of the 222nd anniversary of the Indian Army’s Bengal Engineer Group and Centre, Roorkee, today, senior officers and their families visited the Patanjali campus.
The delegation included Lieutenant General RM Chadha (Retd), Lieutenant General Vijay Sharma (Retd), Lieutenant General DS Ahuja (Retd), Brigadier S Gopikrishnan, Brigadier Devendra Pratap Singh, along with more than 70 other officers. They interacted with Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna on the occasion.
During the event at the Patanjali Research Institute, Swami Ramdev stated that Patanjali’s main objective is to guide citizens on the path of Yoga, Dharma, and Nationalism, liberating them from slavery and frustration, and building a healthy and prosperous nation. He further emphasised that, like the Bengal Engineer Group, Patanjali too works on inner engineering through Yoga and Ayurveda.
Acharya Balkrishna remarked that just as the Indian Army ignites the flame of patriotism in the hearts of the people through its service, Swami Ramdev, through Yoga and Ayurveda, has awakened consciousness and awareness among the people regarding health and self-reliance.
Brigadier KP Singh, on behalf of the Bengal Engineer Group, praised Patanjali’s service efforts and stated that, just as the Indian Army is committed to the defence of the nation through various means, Patanjali is equally dedicated to the health and well-being of the common citizens. He further remarked that, like the Indian flag, the banner of Ayurveda is now waving across the world.
