Devprayag, 27 Jul: Kedarnath Pratishtha Yatra launched by the Congress today moved ahead of Devprayag towards Maletha on the fourth day after offering prayers at Devprayag, Sangam and Raghunath Temple here. Starting the fourth day’s yatra from Sangam Sthal, Congress State President Karan Mahara claimed the BJP and the BJP Government are in panic mode due to the Padyatra of Congress. He also alleged that BJP is targeting the faith of the people. He also alleged that BJP is conspiring to build a duplicate of Kedarnath temple in Delhi. The PCC Chief also alleged that BJP has built the pits of toilets built under Namami Gange near the river itself including the Namami Gange toilet built at Devprayag Sangam. He said that BJP only works to hurt people’s feelings.
It may be recalled that yesterday, the Padyatra had started from Shivpuri and halted for night stay at Devprayag from where it left for tonight’s night halt at Maletha near Srinagar on way to Kedarnath. Like yesterday, Mahara again hoisted the flag of Congress and launched his onward Padyatra. He claimed that BJP has become nervous due to Congress’ padyatra. It is already in panic mode within the two days of the launch of the Padyatra by the congress. Its restlessness and panic is clearly visible. As soon as the Congress launched its Pad Yatra from Har Ki Pauri, on the same day Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself reached Kedarnath Dham. He said that in the meantime, the clarification of BKTC, which is surrounded by questions on the disappearance of gold offered at Kedarnath Dham, has also come to the fore. This is the power of democracy, he claimed. The public has understood the trick and the real character of BJP. He said that BJP and the state government put all their strength in the Badrinath and Manglaur belections but could not win in both the assembly constituencies, because they have lost the trust of the public.
Mahara also claimed that the padayatra from Har Ki Pauri to Kedarnath Dham is for social harmony and it is a journey to meet the people from the hills. Congress has always carried forward the spirit of development with harmony, as the party is totally committed to this. But, BJP sees this yatra in view of the by-election to be held on Kedarnath seat, because it has neither to do with harmony nor with development. He alleged that BJP has worked to spread animosity for the sake of votes. Mahara said, we believe in uniting, while the aim of BJP is to play with the religious sentiments and faith of the people and do vote politics. This thinking of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the BJP was exposed when he was in Kedarnath Dham at the time when the Congress Yatra started.
Mahara also claimed that Congress is not satisfied with the answer of BKTC, which is embroiled in the “scam of offering gold in the temple”. At that time, it was claimed by the temple committee that the gold was transported to Kedarnath Dham on 18 to 19 horses. BKTC had demanded to increase the number of security personnel. BJP had also said, security should be increased. But, where did the gold go, how did it become brass, asked Marha. How much gold was offered, which company gave the certificate. He said, BJP does politics with the help of lies and deceit. Congress’s padayatra has just started, every day the face of BJP will be exposed.
Today, on the fourth day of the Yatra, former Minister Navprabhat, Shoorveer Singh Sajwan, Pradeep Thapliyal, Pauri Garhwal Congress District President Mohit Uniyal, Pauri Garhwal Congress District President Rakesh Negi, Haridwar Congress District President Rajiv Chaudhary, Dinesh Chauhan, PCC member Jayendra Ramola, former MLA Om Gopal Rawat, Rajpal Bisht, Godavari Thapali, Piya Thapa, former MLA Ranjit Rawat, former MLA Lalit Farswan, State Seva Dal President Hema Purohit, NSUI State President Vikas Negi, Youth Congress State President Sumittar Bhullar, Naresh Anand Nautiyal, Abhinav Thapar were among those present on the occasion.
